The arrangement of devices and governing bodies is shown in fig. 1.20.

NOTE
The list of governing bodies and instrumentations depends on a complete set of the car or is established by request.

Speedometer.
Shows car speed in km/h.

Counter of a total run.
The counter shows the general run of the car.

Counter of a daily run.
Shows a run after its last zeroing.

Button of dumping of indications of the counter of a daily run.
Pressing the button leads to zeroing of the counter.

Control lamps of inclusion of indexes of turn / alarm light system.
If control lamps of inclusion of indexes of turn do not function properly, so the system of inclusion of indexes of turn is faulty. Malfunction needs to be eliminated as soon as possible.
Both control lamps of inclusion of indexes of turn light up at the same time if the system of the alarm light system is included.

Index of temperature of cooling liquid.
Shows temperature of cooling liquid in the engine cooling system.
For type A: if the arrow of the index exceeds the limit of normal range, so the engine is overheated.

For type B: at the superheated engine all zones of the indicator (fig. 1.23) blink.
In case of an overheat of the engine take the following measures.
1. Stop the car on a roadside.
2. Switch off the conditioner.
3. Stop the engine if cooling liquid or steam come out a radiator. Turn the ignition key back in the provision of "ON" ("II"), without launching the engine. In this position of the ignition key the fan works in the automatic mode. If it does not work, address for consultation in a workshop on service of the Mazda cars.
4. If cooling liquid does not come out, leave the engine to idle and for more effective cooling open a cowl.
5. If during the operation of the engine idling temperature does not decrease, stop the engine and wait until it cools down.

PREVENTION
At malfunction of the index of temperature of cooling liquid the signal in the form of a blinking of zones "H" (130 °C) and "With" is given (50 °C). Take as soon as possible necessary measures for elimination of a cause of defect (only on cars with electronic devices).

6. Check a hose for supply of cooling liquid in junctions for existence of a leak. Immediately stop the engine if you find leak of cooling liquid.
7. Check the level of cooling liquid if there is no its leak. If necessary add the ordered cooling liquid.

Index of level of fuel.
The index of level of fuel shows what amount of fuel is in the fuel tank. Capacity of a tank is 60 l.

PREVENTION
For type B: if the lowermost zone of the index begins to blink, so fuel level in a tank went down approximately to 5 l.

If when fuelling ignition was not switched off, there will pass considerable time until the indicator is installed on the necessary level of fuel. Therefore when filling switch off ignition. At malfunction in work of the index of level of fuel the signal in the form of a blinking of segments "F" ("1") and ("0") is given. Take as soon as possible necessary measures for elimination of a cause of defect.

Control lamps

PREVENTION
Control lamps can be checked if to turn the ignition key in the provision of "ON" ("ll"), without launching the engine and not including the parking brake. If control lamps do not burn, they need to be checked in a workshop on service of the Mazda cars.

Control lamp of inclusion of driving beam.
Burns at the turned-on driving beam.

Control lamp of charging of the rechargeable battery.
Lights up at inclusion of ignition and dies away after launch of the engine. The generator drive by means of a durable maple belt. If during the movement the control lamp lights up, it is necessary to arrive as follows.
1. Stop the car.
2. At the working engine check a tension of a maple belt and its state.
3. If maple the belt is serviceable, so malfunction in system of charging of the rechargeable battery. It is recommended to define as soon as possible malfunction and to transfer the car to dealers for its elimination.

Control lamp of insufficient level of brake fluid and turning on of the parking brake.
Warning signal of the tightened parking brake. At the switched-on parking brake and ignition the control lamp burns. It has to go out when the parking brake is switched off.
Warning signal of level of brake fluid. If this lamp lights up after switching off of the parking brake at the included ignition, so the level of brake fluid in a tank too low. If the control lamp lights up during the movement, it is necessary to arrive as follows.
1. Check whether the lever of the parking brake is completely lowered.
2. If it and a control lamp continues to burn, carefully stop the car on a roadside.
3. At the working engine immediately check the level of brake fluid and if necessary add liquid. Check all elements of the hydraulic drive of the brake system for existence of a leak.
4. If untight places are found or brakes are faulty, the control lamp will continue to burn – the movement on the car cannot be continued. The car needs to be towed off to the dealer of the Mazda cars to check the brake system and to execute necessary repair.

PREVENTION
If the level of brake fluid in a tank too low, it is necessary to find immediately the nearest service center for check of the working brake system. During the movement it is necessary to press stronger a brake pedal when braking and to consider a possibility of increase in a brake way and a free wheeling of a pedal.

Control lamp of turning on of the alarm light system.
Burns at inclusion of system of the alarm light system.
At the same time all indexes of turn at the same time blink.

Control lamp of insufficient pressure of oil.
Burns with an oil pressure below maximum permissible.
If at the movement this control lamp lights up, it is necessary to stop the movement, to stop the engine, to check oil level in the engine and if necessary to bring it to normal.
If the control lamp burns in spite of the fact that oil level in the engine is normal, it is impossible to continue the movement. Operation of the engine even idling is not allowed – the qualified help is necessary.

PREVENTION
If the instructions given above are not observed and continue to operate the car and further, the engine can be seriously damaged.

Control lamp and warning sound signal of insufficient level of fuel. The control lamp and a warning sound signal of insufficient level of fuel join when in the fuel tank there are about 10 l of fuel.

Control lamp of burn-out of a lamp of a stoplight.
At burn-out of a lamp of a stoplight or emergence of malfunction in an electric chain of stoplights the control lamp lights up. Immediately eliminate malfunction.

Control lamp of level of liquid in a washer reservoir.
The control lamp lights up as soon as liquid level in a washer reservoir of a windshield falls to the lowest level. Check the level of liquid and if necessary add liquid.

Control lamp of switching to the highest transfer.
If this control lamp lights up, so fuel consumption on the included transfer is excessively big. In this case for reduction of fuel consumption switch the transmission to the following overgear.

Control lamp of excessive effort of pressing an accelerator pedal.
This control lamp lights up if the accelerator pedal is excessively pressed. In this case for reduction of fuel consumption release an accelerator pedal until the lamp does not go out.

Control lamp of inclusion of back fog lamps.
This control lamp lights up at inclusion of back fog lamps.

Control lamp of the air gate.
The control lamp lights up at the extended handle of control of the air gate.

Control lamp of burn-out of a lamp of a back dimensional lamp.
If this control lamp lights up, so the back dimensional lamp does not function or the electric chain is damaged. It is necessary to eliminate malfunction immediately.

Control lamp of launch of the cold engine (diesel engine).
The control lamp lights up at the extended handle of launch of the cold diesel engine.

Control lamp / a warning signal of level of cooling liquid (for the diesel engine).
At the included ignition this control lamp burns for control of functioning of the glow lamp and has to go out after launch of the engine. If during the movement the control lamp lights up or the warning signal is distributed, it is necessary to perform the following operations.
1. Stop the car on a roadside.
2. Switch off the engine and let's it cool down. If there is no leak of cooling liquid, check the level of cooling liquid in a broad tank and a radiator. If necessary add cooling liquid.
3. If the control lamp does not die away, tow off the car in the next workshop on service of the Mazda cars.

PREVENTION
As the engine is manufactured of aluminum alloy, surely use antifreeze on the basis of ethylene glycol.

Control lamp / a warning signal about work of a separator of water (for the diesel engine).

Switching of range of indication of the index of level of fuel (only in a combination of electronic devices). If to press the SCALE CHANGE button, the lower range of the indicator of level of fuel of 5-15 l in the stretched look (fig. 1.24) will be shown. Approximately through 5 with there will be the return switching to normal counting.

The counter of a daily run (only in a combination of electronic devices). By means of the counter it is possible to measure two various sites of a way. If to press the button, there will be a switching between indications "And" and "In" (fig. 1.25). The indication "And" (or "In") can be set back to zero if about 1 with to hold the return button in the pressed situation. You can use, for example, one counter for measurement of fuel consumption, and other counter for measurement of the passable way. Indications of a daily run in km correspond to indications of a speedometer.

Tachometer.
Determines the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine in thousands of revolutions per minute.

PREVENTION
Do not leave to work the engine in the red sector of a tachometer – it can cause damage of the engine with serious consequences.

Cowl lock unblocking button.
The cowl opens after a pulling on itself cowl lock unblocking buttons – the cowl is exempted from the locking device and under the influence of a spring rises up.
Unblock a stopper of a cowl and lift it.
Enshrine by a basic core a cowl in the open provision.
Before closing of a cowl establish a basic core back in the holder.
Lower a cowl and let's it enter a clamp.

Adjustment of illumination of the dashboard.

At rotation of the regulator brightness of illumination of the dashboard (fig. 1.26) is established.
The switch of the warmed back glass.
Heating of back glass at the included ignition (the provision of a key in the switch of ignition of "ON"/" II") can be included pressing the switch.
At the included heating of back glass the control lamp burns.

PREVENTION
For cleaning of back glass from the inside do not use sharp objects or abrasive cleaners as as a result of it it is possible to damage wire heating elements.

Switch of a cleaner and washer of back glass.

The cleaner and washer of back glass join the switch shown in fig. 1.27.

PREVENTION
If the washer does not work, check liquid level in a washer reservoir.

Hours.
To determine time, turn a key in the ignition switch in the provision of "ON" ("II").
If to press the RESET button (return), indication of minutes is set to zero.
At an otpuskaniye of the button full hour will be determined.
If, for example, the button is pressed in an interval between 0:01 and 9:29, the indication will change at 9:00. In an interval between 9:30 and 9:59 it will change at 10:00. In this way it is possible to determine time, for example, on the signal of the exact time broadcast.
If the HOUR button is pressed, the indication of hours will change.
If the MIN button is pressed, the indication of minutes will change.

Switch of a washer of headlights.
The washing liquid is sprayed on lenses of headlights if the switch at the included ignition is switched on.

Regulator of shock-absorbers.
Adjustable shock-absorbers can be installed in three various provisions: "SPORT", "NORMAL" and "AUTO".

PREVENTION
It is impossible to include a washer of headlights more than on 10 pages.

For improvement of dynamic properties all shock-absorbers are installed in the SPORT mode. In this case at position of the SPORT switch forward and back shock-absorbers are adjusted "rigidly".
For ensuring soft smooth dynamic properties (NORMAL mode) all shock-absorbers are installed "softly".
Automatic adjustment (AUTO mode) has the following functions.
Stability at big speeds. For improvement of dynamic properties forward shock-absorbers are installed in the mode "rigidly" if speed about 80 km/h is reached. If the speed of the movement decreases approximately to 60 km/h, this installation is removed again.

Fluctuation of rather cross axis when braking. For prevention of fluctuations of rather cross axis during braking all shock-absorbers are installed in the mode "rigidly".
Keeping of the car when capsizing. The side effort is determined by turn of a steering wheel and speed of the car. At excess of a certain size shock-absorbers are installed in the mode "rigidly" that prevents capsizing of a body.

Lighter.
The lighter turns on when pressing it before fixing. After heating it with click comes back to a starting position and it can use. That it was possible to use the lighter at the switched-off engine, turn a key in the switch of ignition in the provision of "ASS" ("I").
Ashtray.
For extraction of an ashtray from a nest extend it forward against the stop and press down the fixing spring.
If you do not use an ashtray, close it.

PREVENTION
Do not use an ashtray for collecting garbage.

The closed ware box under a steering column.
The box can be opened if to pull down for the handle which is in deepening.
Ware box.
To open a ware box, pull its cover down.
If in a cover there is a lock, insert a key and turn it before opening of a cover to the left.
