Removal and installation of the breaker of indexes of turn
The ordinary breaker is used in work of indexes of turn and the alarm light system and is located on an arm to the left of a steering column.
Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
Remove facing in the lower part of the dashboard from the driver.

Disconnect the socket and remove the breaker (fig. 13.60) from an arm.
Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal.

Check of fuel level sensors and temperature of cooling liquid
If indexes of level of fuel and temperature of cooling liquid give the wrong evidences, the index, the sensor or wires can be faulty. It is possible to define malfunction by a multimeter and several resistors.
Index of level of fuel
Access to the fuel level sensor is possible after removal of a back seat and a casing. Disconnect the socket from the fuel level sensor.

Connect the resistor with a resistance from 8 to 96 Ohms between contact of "Y" of the socket and "mass" of the car (fig. 13.61). Check that wires did not concern "mass" of the car, and include ignition.

Wait 2 min. that indications of the index were stabilized, then, being guided by fig. 13.62 or 13.63, compare the valid indications of the index to the expected values.
If it is possible, repeat check with resistors of other resistance in the specified limits. Before change of resistors switch off ignition.
If the index shows a full or empty tank irrespective of resistor resistance, so in sensor wires short circuit or break. Otherwise incorrect indications are caused by malfunction of the index of level of fuel.

PREVENTION
Gasoline is extremely flammable, during the work with elements of a power supply system use of fire, the sparking devices opened by fire-dangerous lighting fixtures and smoking is forbidden. It is necessary to avoid emergence of sparks during the work with wires and electric devices.

Fuel level sensor

Turn out screws and remove the fuel level sensor (fig. 13.64).

Connect a multimeter in the mode of measurement of resistance to contacts of the socket of the fuel level sensor. Moving a float up and down, compare resistance measured in various points to the required values (fig. 13.65).
If the received values of resistance do not correspond to specified, replace the fuel level sensor.
Index of temperature of cooling liquid
Disconnect the socket from the sensor of temperature located in a back part of the case of the thermostat.
Connect the resistor with a resistance from 12 to 230 Ohms between contact of the socket and "mass" of the car.

Check that wires did not concern "mass" of the car, and include ignition. Wait 2 min. that indications of the index were stabilized, then, being guided by fig. 13.66, 13.67, 13.68, compare the valid indications of the index with expected.
If it is possible, repeat check with resistors of other resistance in the specified limits. Before replacement of resistors switch off ignition.
If the index of temperature shows the maximum or minimum temperature irrespective of resistor resistance, in sensor wires short circuit or break. Otherwise incorrect indications are caused by malfunction of the index of temperature of cooling liquid.
Sensor of temperature of cooling liquid
Merge cooling liquid up to one level lower than the sensor and turn out it.
Suspend the sensor on a thread in the glass vessel filled with water, and connect ohmmeter probes to contact of the socket and the case of the sensor. Control water temperature the thermometer.
Heat water to 80 °C, resistance of the sensor has to be in limits (53,5±4,2) Ohms.
If resistance of the sensor differs from demanded, replace the sensor.
Install the sensor into place and fill in cooling liquid in the cooling system.

Replacement of the relay

The quantity and functions of the installed relays change depending on model and a complete set of the car. The standard arrangement of the relay is shown in fig. 13.69.
If in an electric chain in which there is a relay malfunction is found, do not forget that damage of the relay can be its cause. Check, whether so it, having installed the new serviceable relay.
To replace the relay, disconnect fixing clips or turn out screws then disconnect it from the socket.
Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal.

System of illumination of the lock
On the cars equipped with system of illumination of the lock, the lock of a door of the driver and the lock of ignition are highlighted during about 20 from later raising of the handle of a door.
Besides illumination, this system includes such elements as the timer installed on an arm near a steering column and the switch on the door handle.

For access to a lamp of illumination of the lock of a door and the switch on the handle of a door it is necessary to remove a door upholstery. For replacement of the switch it is necessary to remove the external handle of a door (fig. 13.70).
