15.2. Engine

Since 1988 install a 12-valvate head of cylinders on engines of models. Constructive difference of a head consists that about three valves are the share of each cylinder (two inlet and one final). The drive of valves is carried out via hydraulic compensators of gaps of valves that excludes need of periodic adjustment of gaps of valves. The main operations of service and repair of a head of the block of cylinders remained the same, but there are also features which are given further.

Features of dismantling are caused by the fact that covers of bearings of the camshaft are under shaft of yokes, and in yokes hydraulic compensators of gaps of valves (fig. 15.4) are built in.
After removal of yokes assembled with shaft uncover camshaft bearings

Check a condition of working surfaces of the hydraulic compensator of gaps of valves. Take out their fingers (fig. 15.5). Do not take the hydraulic compensator of gaps of valves needlessly as it is possible to damage ring laying easily.

Fill a cavity for the hydraulic compensator of gaps of valves with pure engine oil and it is careful not to damage ring laying, insert the hydraulic compensator into a yoke (fig. 15.6).

Collect yokes with shaft so that selections at end faces of shaft were directed towards a back part of the engine (in shaft of inlet valves twice more oil channels, than in shaft of final valves) (fig. 15.7).

After installation of the camshaft establish covers of bearings so that shooters pointed to a forward part of the engine. The oil channel on a cover of the bearing No. 3 has to be from the party shown in fig. 15.8.
Establish shaft assembled with yokes, having convinced of the correct orientation
yokes and dividing plugs and lack of contact with covers of bearings of the camshaft.

Remove a casing of a gear belt (fig. 15.9).

Make sure that the arrow with number 1 on a pulley of the camshaft is combined with dredging on a back casing of a belt (fig. 15.10). If necessary combine tags.
Weaken a lock bolt, take away a natyazhitel to the left, having weakened a tension of a gear belt, then tighten a lock bolt.
Take off a gear belt.
Make sure that the arrow with number 1 on a pulley of the camshaft is combined with dredging, and the tag on the leader to a pulley of a belt is combined with the index on a forward cover.
Make sure that the spring of a natyazhitel is stretched completely, and the lock bolt is reliably tightened.
Establish a belt, having put on it a pulley of the oil pump and an intermediate roller of a natyazhitel.
Weaken a lock bolt of fastening of a natyazhitel.
Turn a bent shaft on two turns in the direction of working rotation and be convinced that the arrow with number 1 on a pulley of the camshaft is combined with dredging, and the tag on the leader to a pulley of a belt is combined with the index on a forward cover. If tags do not coincide, take off a belt and repeat its installation.
Tighten a lock bolt of fastening of a natyazhitel of a gear belt the required moment.
Check a belt tension in size of its deflection.
If the tension does not meet standard, release a lock bolt and adjust the provision of a natyazhitel to the required belt deflection then tighten a bolt the required moment.
Establish casings of a gear belt.
