2.33. Adjustment of gaps of valves and check of the moment of an inhaling of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders

Warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature.
Stop the engine and remove the case of the air filter. Mark all hoses and sockets disconnected from the case of the air filter.
Remove from spark plugs tips with high-voltage wires and take them aside from a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
Remove the valve of ventilation of a case of PCV and an arm of high-voltage wires from a cover of a head of the block of cylinders. Fix by a piece of a wire aside an accelerator cable.
Stream of compressed air clear candles that will exclude hit of dirt in the engine cylinder after a spark plug reversing. Turn out spark plugs.
On a high-voltage wire of a spark plug of the first cylinder record its situation on the ignition distributor case in figure "1". Execute the same for other cylinders (number "2", "3", "4"), then uncover and disconnect wires from the ignition distributor.
Uncover a head of the block of cylinders.
Turning a bent shaft of the engine in the direction of its working rotation for a bolt of fastening of a pulley, install the piston of the first cylinder in VMT in a compression step, at the same time the rotor of the distributor of ignition has to be combined with a tag "1" on the ignition distributor case. Otherwise turn a bent shaft clockwise on one whole revolution. Measure by the probe a gap of final valves in the first and third cylinders and a gap of inlet valves in the first and second cylinders.
Write down results of measurements.
Turn a bent shaft on one turn (the piston of the fourth cylinder in VMT in a compression step) and measure gaps on other valves.
Write down results of measurements.
If gaps of valves differ from demanded, adjust them.
Turn a bent shaft of the engine in situation at which camshaft cams over the valve demanding adjustment will be directed up.
Weaken a lock-nut and accurately roll or turn out the adjusting screw until the probe enters with small effort. The screw-driver record position of the adjusting screw and tighten a lock-nut. Repeatedly check a gap.

At uncovered a head of the block of cylinders and the heated-up engine by a dynamometer key check the moments of an inhaling of bolts of fastening of a head. Weaken one bolt, turning off it on a quarter of a turn, then tighten the moment given in the management. Repeat this procedure for all bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders in the sequence shown in fig. 2.23.
Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders with new laying and evenly tighten bolts the moments given in the beginning of the section.
Screw spark plugs, establish a cover of the distributor of ignition and connect high-voltage wires. Install the air filter, connect hoses, sockets and vacuum hoses.
Launch the engine and check lack of leak of oil between a cover of a head of the block and a head of the block.
