3.4. Removal and installation of the engine
Remove a cowl.
Remove the rechargeable battery, support of the engine and merge cooling liquid.

Remove the air filter (fig. 3.27).
Disconnect from the fuel pump of a tube of giving and an exit of fuel.
Disconnect drives of air and throttle gates.
Disconnect a speedometer drive cable.
Disconnect a coupling drive cable (the mechanical transmission) or a cable of management (the automatic transmission).
Disconnect a wire of connection with "mass" of the car from the transmission.
Disconnect a hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes.
Take out caps from vacuum switches and remove an arm.
Disconnect hoses from a heater.
Get caps from the traction relay and the vacuum sensor (if are available) and turn out them from a fire-prevention partition.
Disconnect conducting sockets from the engine.
Disconnect all other electric sockets in a motor compartment.
Disconnect a wire from the ignition coil.
Disconnect evaporator hoses from a tank (if they are provided by a design).
Disconnect radiator hoses, disconnect the socket from the radiator fan electric motor.
Remove a radiator.
Remove a broad tank and a washer reservoir.
Remove the generator and the compressor of the conditioner from an arm (if it is provided by a design). Take the compressor aside, trying not to damage hoses (are under high pressure), and fix it by a wire piece.
Lift a forward part of the car and establish on supports, remove forward wheels and mudguards.
Remove the pump of the hydraulic booster (if it is provided by a design) together with hoses, take aside and fix by a wire piece.
Merge oil from the transmission.
Disconnect cross draft of the stabilizer of a forward suspension bracket and push out or extend power shafts from the transmission. To record the provision of gear wheels of differential, instead of power shafts insert special caps or internal hinges of equal angular speeds of power shafts into the transmission.
On models with the mechanical transmission disconnect draft of gear shifting and the extender of draft from the transmission.
Disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from the muffler.
Remove a rubber cap and a mudguard, turn off a bolt and remove hinged knot. Remove casings of a gear belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism.
Attach captures of the elevator to the engine.
Disconnect the engine from suspension bracket support.
Slowly and carefully lift the engine, during rise the assistant has to displace the engine from hairpins of the muffler forward and take aside an electrical wiring.
Having raised the engine from a motor compartment, lower it on the platform suitable for carrying out further works. Remove from the engine the transmission assembled with differential. Fix the engine in vertical position or install on the stand.
Install on the engine the transmission assembled with differential.
Forward part of the car has to be in the lifted situation to provide access from below at installation.
You will hang out the engine precisely over a motor compartment, having carefully and slowly established it in the necessary situation.
Further works are performed with two assistants. The first directs the power unit so that not to damage the transmission the main brake cylinder and that the engine came on muffler hairpins, and the second holds the power unit so that when lowering not to damage the pump of the hydraulic booster.
Further installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal.
Separation of the transmission from the engine
Remove a starter.
Turn off bolts of fastening of an arm of a hinged shaft. The hinged shaft has to remain inserted into the transmission, otherwise the differential can fall in a box case.
Uncover the hydrotransformer.
Block a flywheel the big screw-driver for a gear wreath, turn off bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer, turning a bent shaft a key for a bolt of fastening of a pulley and bringing each bolt to the same place.
Turn off bolts of fastening of the transmission to the engine.
Insert the big screw-driver between the engine and a case of coupling, disconnect a case, uncoupling it the screw-driver on all length of a joint, and remove the transmission. To keep the provision of differential, ask the assistant to hold a hinged shaft during removal of the transmission from the engine.
Installation of the transmission on the engine is carried out in the sequence, the return to removal.
Remove a starter.
Turn off bolts of fastening of an arm of a hinged shaft.
Remove the transmission from the engine. Ask the assistant to hold a hinged shaft. Do not allow that the transmission leaned on a main shaft, otherwise its damage is possible.
At installation at first be convinced of correctness of centering of a clutch plate. Apply lubricant on vents of a main shaft.
Install the transmission on the engine, having again asked the assistant to hold a hinged shaft. If the main shaft does not come into a shlitsevy flange of the conducted clutch plate, then slightly turn a bent shaft or a main shaft of the transmission before combination of shliyets. Before full landing of a box to its opirayta on a block that the weight of a box was not perceived by a main shaft.
Tighten bolts of fastening of the transmission to the engine and bolts of a hinged shaft, establish a starter.
