4.8. Fuel nozzles

Faulty nozzles can lead to a strong detonation in cylinders of the engine and, as a result, to damage of inserts of radical bearings of a bent shaft. At emergence of signs of a detonation leave the engine to idle and in turn weaken cap nuts of fastening of pipelines to fuel nozzles. If when weakening a cap nut the detonation disappears, then it indicates malfunction of a nozzle.
Malfunction of a nozzle can be defined, consistently weakening cap nuts and on bystry single to the course (at warming up of the engine). If after weakening of a cap nut the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine does not change, it indicates malfunction of a nozzle. The nozzle can be checked at the stand creating pressure of 135 bars.
The first signs of violation of work of a nozzle are shown as follows:
– false ignition in engine cylinders;
– a detonation in one or several cylinders of the engine;
– engine overheat;
– deceleration of power of the engine;
– excessively strong black exhaust;
– increase in fuel consumption.

Removal
Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
Cleaner or diesel fuel carefully clear outside of a tube of giving and return of fuel.

PREVENTION
At a wire detachment from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery memory of electronic memory devices, for example a radio receiver code is erased.

Turn off cap nuts on the fuel pump of high pressure and nozzles and remove tubes in a set (fig. 4.25)

PREVENTION
Do not break a form of a bend of tubes.

Turn out fuel nozzles and spread out them in the same order in what they were established on the engine.

PREVENTION
Dirt should not get to combustion chambers through openings for nozzles.
In each opening for a fuel nozzle there is a wavy laying and a washer which need to be replaced.

Needles of nozzles should not have the beaten-out and rough places of landing. The wooden pallet remove a deposit from nozzles.

PREVENTION
You do not clean a nozzle and a needle of a nozzle a wire, a file or an emery paper at all. Do not mix a detail of different nozzles.

Installation

Establish four new wavy laying and four washers (fig. 4.26) on nozzles.

PREVENTION
Observe the adjusting provision of wavy laying.

Screw fuel nozzles and tighten their moment 65 N · m.

PREVENTION
Tightening of fuel nozzles the moment exceeding demanded can lead to their deformation, lag of a needle and other damages.

Connect tubes of return of fuel with new laying and fix by nuts, having tightened their moment 25 N · m (see fig. 4.22).
On all nozzles weaken cap nuts of fastening of tubes of high pressure a little.
Turn a bent shaft of the engine a starter to an exit from fuel tubes without vials of air. Tighten cap nuts the required moment.
Establish a branch pipe of air supply and the channel of the resonator.
Connect a wire to the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
If there are hours, determine time and enter a security code of the radio receiver.
