7.3. Ignition coil

Check
Take off a protective cap and disconnect from the wire ignition coil.

For measurement of resistance of primary winding of the coil of ignition connect an ohmmeter according to the scheme shown in fig. 7.3.
If the coil of ignition works normally, then the break in a chain should not be.

For measurement of resistance of a secondary winding of the coil of ignition connect an ohmmeter according to the scheme shown in fig. 7.4, and compare the received value with demanded.

Measure by an ohmmeter resistance between a conclusion of primary winding and the case of the coil of ignition according to the scheme shown in fig. 7.5.
If result of one of these tests unsatisfactory, replace the ignition coil.

Removal and installation
Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
Take off a rubber protective cap and disconnect wires from the ignition coil, previously having noted their arrangement.
Turn off bolts, remove an arm and take the coil from a collar on a radiator.
Install the coil into place and fix by bolts.
Connect wires and reliably put on a rubber cap.
